New Games

New Games

My first reaction when I found the pictures was to get really upset. I mean, there was my daughter, barely nineteen, half-naked, all covered with ropes. In one of the pictures, she even had some kind of corset made of ropes around her chest. It mustn’t have been comfortable, and yet, you could tell by the look in her eyes that she was enjoying the whole thing. I know that look. Maybe these are the new games, different from the ones I played.

Don’t think I’m one of those tyrannic moms who try to control every second of their daughter’s life. Not at all. It’s just that, lately, we have grown apart. So, when she left for a party, I walked into her room to try to find an answer. You see, we used to be best friends. And I wanted to find something, anything, that would help me bring her back. I know she’s an adult now, but, at the same time, she will always be my little girl.

I had barely begun to search, when I found the pictures. In the back, there was a seal: “Shibari and Kinbaku Workshop”. I did some research on the Internet, and I discovered that Shibari is a Japanese word for bondage. More specifically, an aesthetic kind of bondage. When it has stronger sexual overtones, then it’s “Kinbaku”.

As I said, I was upset. Some jerk was tying my daughter and taking pictures of her. Who knows what else happened during those “scenes”? And yet, once I calmed down, I understood that this might not be so bad, after all. My mom had had a very repressed sexual life. I, on the other hand, had experienced things she could have never imagined. I don’t have to do a list of all the “games” that my generation played in the bedroom. So, it was just natural that my daughter’s generation looked for different experiences, and not limiting themselves to repeat what the previous generation did. They were just new games.

This is my Shibari story.
