Addie

Addie

Addie is a teacher, performer, sexual researcher, and rope artist. She has practiced rope for several years. She enjoys both roles: top and bottom, both as a teacher and as a performer. For the past few years, Addie has taught around the world with his partner Barkas. Additionally, Addie is co-founder of TheSpace2 in Vancouver.

Addie’s adventure in Shibari began a couple of years ago. Her lover of that time practiced Shibari and wanted her to join him. After experiencing Shibari for the first time, She quickly discovered that she really enjoyed it. A couple of years later, she met Barkas in the local kink convention where his relation with ropes began.

Addie’s teaching is mixed with her professional background as a nurse, mixed with a good sense of humour. Her goal is to provide practical, and adaptable techniques. She hopes this will help her students to enjoy their scenes.

Addie wants to teach the importance of trust between partners, she believes that trust makes a relaxed scene. She believes that top and bottom need to trust each other in order to drop the need to control or to behave and let your mind go. She believes Shibari gives people the opportunity to learn about themselves and from their partners, to trust and to let go and experience all kinds of emotions. In Shibari, you will experience things you can’t experience in daily life, where you will experience insecurities, fears, and requires calm, supportive and patient empathy. Addie believes that Shbari builds people up, where they get to know themselves completely.

Addie has experienced Shibari together with Barkas, from whom she has learned lots of things, together with the collection of experiences that have created the basis of what Shibari means to her.
