Hitchin’ Bitches

Hitchin’ Bitches

Hitchin’ Bitches is a community of female riggers and rope tops founded in 2011 in London. This group offers a safe space to learn and share rope experiences. It is exclusively for women who are into rope.

It all began with the fact that in Shibari or Rope Bondage, the ones tying are mostly men, and you don’t see female rope tops or riggers. This group aims to challenge the idea that only men can tie. Hitchin’ Bitches looks forword to share the skills, experience, and knowledge of female riggers.
Although it is a group exclusively for rope top women, any gender orientation of rope bottom can join the workshops.

Hitchin’ Bitches Network wants to change the way people and even women see the riggers as always male, proving that women can be great riggers, too. They want to create a network that represents women, FTM, genderqueer, and intersected persons. Also, those who feel they have links to the women community. In a word, anyone in the broader kink, leather, sex and bondage communities.

Hitchin’ Bitches seeks to share, tie, teach, present, practice, and perform between women in order to change the mindset of not feeling “good enough” to tie in public. They believe that the empowerment of women in the rope will bring more women to feel confident with themselves and performing in public, sharing the passionate skill with ropes.

This Bondage group has monthly meetings in which they share skills, practice, learn and experience rope first hand. Hitchin’ Bitches work in a collaborative instead of a competitive environment. It is important to create a relaxes space to empower women and inspire confidence in exploring rope as part of a network with shared values.
