Andy Buru

Andy Buru is a teacher, bodyworker and bondage artist. Moreover, he is a student of theatre, a medical massage therapist, a conscious kinker, and a teacher of rope bondage. He lives in Stockholm, Sweden. He believes that aesthetic beauty in rope bondage is not the purpose, but there is no reason to make things ugly. For him, bondage and beauty are closely related, both philosophically and aesthetically. He truly enjoys the Japanese imagery of bondage, which is often related to suffering and mortality. He believes life is a theatre between reality and dreams. Andy Buru uses bondage as therapy, where he combines his therapist knowledge with ropes.

Andy Buru work aims to create magical rooms were people can rest, heal and grow. Andy’s tools, spirit and experience springs from neuro-semantic team building, medical massage therapy, European theatre, and Japanese Rope Bondage.
He works with both groups and individuals. His love, interest and passion for Rope Bondage, began when he travelled to Japan. He shares all his knowledge and way of thinking, practising and healing with ropes with people through his sessions, workshops, or even tea gatherings.

Andy Baru is available for workshops, performances, and consultation, both commercial and artistic. He travels around Europe, he usually visits Northern Europe from March to June, and September to December, in July and August he travels around Europe, touring festivals and events. Andy has participated in different events like the Natural High Healing Festival, The Festival on the Art of Lust, Stockholm Pride, Angsbacka, SverigesRadio, Schwelle7, Dekadence, Club Abzint.SE, ManiPhesto, Stockholm Tantra Festival, Lykie Film and Rope Artists Intl, as well as his events of Tantric Ropes for Couples, Point of Surrender, and Tantric Ropes Shibari.
