Tied Out West is a site founded by Mike West, who is a Shibari, Erotic Japanese-style rope bondage rigger, performer, photographer, and live event producer who resides in San Francisco, California. Mike enjoys erotic but artistic bondage photography. He also gives classes and private lessons about Japanese Rope Bondage and Shibari. Mike is also a producer of explicit live shows and a recognized performer at various events. Tied Out West is the perfect place for those who are passionate about rope bondage and photography. Mike West has been tying up girls since he was 5 years old. At some point in his late 20s he decided to get real about it and started practicing and learning BDSM. However, Rope Bondage hooked him up due to the connection with the bottoms he could create through this art. He started learning rope bondage and had the opportunity to study Japanese style rope bondage in Japan and Euron, which opened up more his mind and admiration for the rope to how beautiful and functional the rope bondage practice could be. Mike has been teaching Shibari private lessons since 2002, and later in 2006, he began teaching in larger groups.  Now, Mike dedicates his creative energy to his small intimate Rope Gotto Shows, to his yearly Black Xmas parties, and to his “Month of Sundays” photography projects.
