Everything started with Fischer, the first rigger in Spain. Most of the riggers in Spain have learned the art in Barcelona—and the oldest ones have learned it from Kurt. Jordi Lucena, the manager, who inherited the Club from Fischer himself, explains that about seven years ago the Club became even more popular. Before that, however, people between 40 and 60 years of age used to attend the Club. In contrast, now the age range varies from 18 to 80 years. People from all around Barcelona, no matter social status or profession, visit it. Club rosas cinco hosts local judges, politicians, actors, and even police officers.
A Love for Shibari
Shibari is currently the favorite among all the different techniques you can practice. The club organizes two monthly workshops, that consist of two hours, to initiate people in shibari. These workshops have four simple but clear rules. Firstly, you have to come in couples. Secondly, you have to dress in black. Thirdly, you have to be an active member or partner of the club. Last but not least, you have to be an adult.
