One Last Shibari Scene
We’re always encouraged to try new things. Jump in a parachute for the first time; take a girl to bed for the first time; you name it! But nobody prepares us for the last time we will be able to do something. Now, I’m what you’d call “a woman of a certain age”, and I knew that, sooner or later, I wouldn’t be able to practice the intense kind of bondage that I enjoy anymore. However, I thought I still had some time. But when I injured both my ankles and my back after falling from a stair, I suddenly faced the fact that I would only be able to do one last Shibari scene.
I’ve loved bondage since I was in my twenties. Back then, bondage was one of the hottest things you could try. And it was hard to find someone who really understood the tradition of Shibari. I was lucky to meet people who were true artists and committed professionals. I owe them more than I can tell.
From the beginning, it was clear to me that I enjoyed taking risks and daring to push my limits. My scenes have always been intense. I’ve always been on the edge. That’s where I like to be.
And then, I had to confront two devastating facts. One, at 45, I was playing with fire, since there’s a strong probability of muscular or nervous injury. Two, after my accident, I would have to stop bondage altogether, as soon as possible.
Since I had only one last Shibari scene, I wanted it to be the most spectacular exhibition people had ever seen. I also wanted to show off all my skills. It was going to be an extremely difficult suspension scene.
But, it wasn’t that way in the end.
You see, when I was preparing the scene, I realized that I had done everything I wanted to do in terms of bondage. I had proven myself once and again. And I didn’t have to do it anymore.
So, I did a simple scene, with one of my favorite songs. And that was it. That’s how I said goodbye to bondage.
This is my last Shibari story.
