Shibari and Marketing
Okay, so there’s a bondage fever nowadays. Big deal! I’ve been an escort for ten years and I’ve seen many of these fads come and go. Silk stockings, business outfits, schoolgirls outfits, you name it! And so, if what customers want now is a little bit of bondage, they can have it, as long as they pay for it. I thought that was all I had to do about Shibari and marketing. Boy, I was wrong!
I did some research on the Internet, and I must say it looks more complicated than I thought. It’s not just being tied to the bed, or getting your hands tied behind your back. There are a lot of patterns, shapes, and stuff. To be honest, it takes more time, money, and equipment than I thought. This is going to be a problem!
However, I found a solution. Just as there are clip-on ties for men, it turns out that there are clip-on corsets for women. I bought a couple online and the problem was solved. I usually ask my customers to wait in bed while I go to the bathroom. There, I would clip-on the corset, and then lie shamelessly about how I had tied it so fast. Hey! Don’t look at me like that. In my business, lying brings you more money.
Once, I had a customer, his name was Mark. He seemed to know a lot about bondage. He kept asking me questions until I was unable to answer. I guess he knew I didn’t know a thing about Shibari, because he got a little bit upset. That is, until I made him forget about it.
The following week, he paid the extra fee for a “delivery” service. I went to his house and, before I knew it, he pulled me into a studio where there were ropes, blindfolds, and many other things.
—Now, I’m going to show what Shibari is really about.
It turned out he was a Shibari master! Now, I won’t tell you what happened in that room. I’ll just say that I understood that Shibari is a lot more than a silly clip-on corset. It’s not that simple to combine Shibari and marketing.
This is my Shibari story.
