Bay Area Rope Exchange

Bay Area Rope Exchange

Bay Area Rope Exchange known also as BARE, is a group of rope bondage enthusiasts who aim to create a strong, informed, and growing rope bondage community in San Francisco Bay.

Bay Area Rope Exchange has been helping people to gather together, practice, and learn rope since 2014. BARE has been promoting bondage education. They keep a special focus on bondage safety and awareness for all the ones interested in rope. Bay Area Rope Exchange also organizes events in the bay for all rope lovers and practitioners. The most important one is the annual Folsom Street Fair.

Although BARE focuses on the local rope community, they also support connections with the worldwide community. That’s why they welcom international rope practitioners and teachers in their workshops or events.

BARE organizes different events around the bay. All events, classes, workshops, and performances are exclusively for adults, all guests must be 18 years or older and must show an ID and sign a waiver. For all events you will need to bring a mat or rug if you plan to play on the floor, rope, a suspension ring, a rope bottoming bag, and all your energy to have fun.

All BARE events require to be respectful and considerate with others. Consent is mandatory for any interaction between participants. You cannot use cameras or cellphones. The best idea to purchase your ticket in advance for participating in any of the BARE events. BARE events are nonprofit events. Performers from the Bay Area and all over the world don’t have to pay a fee to participate in any of the events.

Every event has a different location, and you can wear whatever makes you feel sexy. Full nudity is usually allowed but you need to always check the event description.
