Anatomie Studio
Anatomie Studio is an expositive and kink positive venue in London. It has gained international recognition for its quality education. It is the first full-time Shibari educational space that offers a content-focused venue for learning and practising Shibari or Japanese Rope Bondage. Anatomie Studio has been operating since 2015, and it has been home to shibari enthusiasts around London.
Anatomie Studio was born in June 2015, founded by Fred Hatt and Anna Bone, as a place for practising and learning Shibari. They both wanted to create a relaxed place where people could connect, meet like-minded people with interests in Shibari and practice altogether. It all began with 15-20 people gathering together each evening, but the Anatomie community grew very fast and the gatherings were up to 60 people per night.
Anatomie Studio teaches with the values of consent and sex positivity. Therefore, it considers all sexual expression a positive thing, regardless of the size, shape, or colour. Likewise, they promote diversity and inclusion, and so welcome LGBT participants, as well as anyone else. In Anatomie Studio everyone is welcome!
The founders of the studio, Fred and Anna have been tying partners and lovers since 2013. They have travelled internationally to teach and to perform. They are available for different projects, whether as as teachers, rope artists for photo and video projects or as performers.
Although Anatomie Shibari functions as a full-time Shibari studio, it also welcomes the esoteric, underground and alternative practices. Since it is a bright clean space equipped with mats, and suspension beams around the space, it is suitable for workshops and events related to tantra and circus, as well as aerial hoop, yoga, martial arts, dance, theatre classes, art exhibitions, photography and film, rehearsals of any kind, and even book clubs.
