Shibari and Roleplay
It was like the natural next step. We started practicing Shibari a year ago. We were spending most of our time at home because of the pandemic, and eventually learned about Shibari. At first, of course, we used simple ropes and it was more like an extra ingredient. Eventually, however, we started to try more complex knots and more elaborated scenes. We took a workshop to improve our skills and, before we knew it, our Shibari scene became one of the most special moments every month. And we didin’t know how Shibari and roleplay make a perfect combination.
There are many things to learn and a lot of precautions to be taken before you can truly enjoy a full Shibari experience. But they are time and effort well invested. Once we got to the point where we could truly set up and perform a genuine Shibari scene, the joy and satisfaction lasted for days. We could discuss how it improves communication, and how it brings hidden emotions and new sources of pleasure to the forefront. But it’s better to just go and try it for yourself. You won’t regret it.
We started including some pieces of wardrobe, and then it took off and we got into roleplay. It’s incredible how exciting and satisfying it can be to play out a fantasy. We all know the clichés, and uniforms and costumes are a safe choice, but you can go beyond that and develop something more personal. If you take a moment to think about it, you’ll discover that there are hidden fantasies in your imagination waiting to come true.
There are dozens of roleplay ideas already in the air. You can use them as they are or take them as prompts to develop your own. The point is to get in touch with the fantasies within you. Then you can mix them with Shibari. Shibari and roleplay is a winning combination.
This is our Shibari story.
