Boris Mosafir

Boris Mosafir is a Shibari Master an SM top who lives in Saint Petersburg, Rusia. His interest in Shibari began in 2009, while he was watching some pictures and falling in love with it.  Before he was a SHibari Master, he was a photographer and event organizer in Russia and abroad. In 2011, he began to include Shibari in his events and photography, which led him to participate in various events. In February 2012, he organized the first “Captured Beauty” Shibari photo exhibition in St. Petersburg, at the “Red Flag” culture center.

Although it was the first Shibari exhibition in Russia, it had a good acceptance. 13 photographers and 12 riggers participated in the event. This exhibition was 100% Shibari and had over 2500 visits in three weeks.

In Boris’ view, Shibari is an interesting way to establish communication and connection between two individuals. Likewise, he belives it provides a strong sexual energy to a relationship. He believes that Shibari is a beautiful art with a strong sexual and emotional dynamic. That is what he tries to portray in his photographs.

In order to share his vision and passion for Shibari, and after the success of his first event. Boris Mosafir decided to grow in the Shibari field on a more professional level. He became a rigger and started organizing events in Russia as well as participating in events around the world. He also founded a school in St. Petersburg where people could learn Shibari where he imparts regular classes. He also gives workshops in other Russian cities and around Europe, such as Turin, Paris, Rome, Kiev, and others.

Boris Mosafir also organizes tours and classes of European Shibari artists and many events in Russia like the Ropefest, the RopeDay, BondageCafe, NawaYoi, the Fetish Faculty and RopeNight.
