Shibaritürk
Shibaritürk was born in June 2018, as a Rope Project. Its main goal is to contribute to the development of the traditional Japanese Baglama art in Turkey. Shibaritürk has reached many Shibari people with classes and workshops, and has helped spread the word throughout Turkey. The group aims to the teaching and development of modern techniques as well as traditional forms of Shibari & Kinbaku.
Shibaritürk believes Shibari can have a place in today’s society with the help of performance and fine arts. These have become an indispensable guide for shibari in different dojos, including Shibaritürk. Shibari has become one of the preferred practices in the BDSM community. This is due to its visual richness, the communication, the emotions and feelings, the cultural depth and meditative guidance.
Shibaritürk is open to beginners. It is an inclusive community. Therefore, it accepts everyone, regardless of their sexual preference and identity, religion, political views, races, bodies, beliefs, or knowledge. Shibaritürk, welcomes everyone to be part of a community based on friendship and respect. Consequently, all members can share their knowledge and will be able to practice between them.
One of their most important goals is to transform the traditional bag lama art to support ideas and projects produced in all branches of art, and to develop social associations with the maximum level of work, as well as to find permanent solutions to all sustainability and supply problems in Shibari since it is one of the biggest problems in Turkey regarding shibari.
In Shibaritük you will find private classes, events, workshops, training, performances, photo shooting and special scenes, partnerships, and other projects or organizations that will contribute to the development and correct transfer of Shibari in Turkey.
