Two Knotty Boys

Two Knotty Boys is San Francisco’s popular dynamic duo of rope bondage instruction, rigging and performance. It is a non-commercial, adults only, educational site that provides erotic and sexual material. Dan and JD began teaching rope bondage workshops in 1999 in dungeon Castlebar, which is a venue in San Francisco. After Castlebar closed its doors, they move forward and continue teaching around the Bay Area venues.

In 2000, Dan and JD began to work in their first book “Two Knotty Boys: Showing you the Ropes” which was finally published in November 2006. In it, they teach step by step how to tie basic knots and combine them into bondage techniques in a safe, sensual, attractive and effective way, where readers can learn at their own time and review whole techniques at a single glance to follow along as they tie. This book helps the Two Knotty Boys expand the impact in the rope bondage community due to the great impact and recognition of their book. After the book’s publication, they decided to travel around the world teaching their unique brand of fusion rope bondage.

They have participated in several events and imparted workshops and classes around the world. The Two Knotty Boys have also created over 100 video tutorials which are available for download on their website. In 2009, Dan and JD published their second book, “Two Knotty Boys: Back on the Ropes”. In this one, they show readers how to tie basic knots and use them in sensual bondage techniques. As usual, they write in a playful style that makes rope bondage safe and approachable. This second book is perfect for curious newcomers and serious players.

Two Knotty Boys’ goal is to demystify rope bondage. They also intend to provide instructions for safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing ties.
