Anya Demure

Anya Demure is a rope lover, bondage enthusiast, bondage practitioner, educator and performer. Her passion is to create and embody aesthetically interesting body shapes, and enduring physically challenging rope experiences. Anya is a teacher, a performer, a rigger, and a bottom. She resides in Brooklyn, New York but has travelled around the United States and around the world teaching and performing.

 Anya Demure practices rope primarily through personal kins, as a model and through self-tying. She describes rope bondage as endurance, sex, exercise, movement, art, collaboration and mutual experience. Likewise, she is devoted to promoting bottom-inclusive education and presentation. She also fosters safe, friendly, and encouraging environments for people to learn rope and share the passion.

Anya Demure works together with Marceline VQ as co-creator and model. They both work to create rope imagery that is surprising and inventive. Their current projects involve structural rope installations as a concrete exploration of the metaphorical connectedness of being.

Anya gives numerous workshops. One of the most famous is the single column tie. Since she is an expert, in her classes, you will learn which single column tie is the best. Moreover, you will learn  3 different kinds of single columns and discuss the pros and cons of each one.
Anya also has the Intro to Bottoming for Rope, another of her incredible workshops. Here, you will discuss important bottoming skills such as body awareness, communication, and vetting. She will also touch on physical and emotional aspects of safety before, after, and during a scene.

This class is perfect for bottoms, tops, and switches. The skills imparted in this workshop are valuable for everyone, and if you would like to practice it is important to take your partner and some rope for the hands-on portion, where you will be practising some of the previously learned skills.
