Tamandua Kinbaku

Tamandua Kinbaku is a full-time rope artist and Kinbaku instructor based in Berlin. Tamandua has a passionately sadistic streak and a deep love for the aesthetic realm of kinbaku.

He believes Kinbaku or Shibari is a practice that requires continuous exploration. In Shibari, you can connect with your partner during a session or over the course of a long partnership. The core of Kinbaku lies in the meeting between the aesthetic expression and the emotional or erotic intention of the practice. So, the more experience you have in tying the more seamlessly the parts can intermingle.

Tamandua’s technique can be challenging both for the one tying and for the one in ropes. As a teacher, he believes that it is very important to let the student alone in the room for personal adjustment and creativity. Only when they are in a semi-advanced level and dominate the principles of safety in Shibari.

Tamandua gives both private classes and workshops in Berlin. He is also available for online mentoring and gives workshops abroad. Private tuition is available for all levels, from beginners to experienced students. However, it is better for students who want more focused teaching or customized for specific interests. For classes or workshops outside Berlin, he will require the travel expenses. These include travel and accommodations for him and the model.

Tamandua is also available for performances, photo shooting and other artist work or collaboration. He also offers intimate kinbaku session for those who want to explore and experience in a safe and private setting. In this kind of session, you will be able to try new things in a controlled environment where you can focus on the experience without any outer pressure.
