European Rigger Exchange

The European Rigger Exchange is a different kind of rope event. It is an event where experienced riggers gather for a week of exchange and research. This event is celebrating its 18th reunion.

Usually, Shibari events bring together workshops form riggers and presenters around the world. However, must masters come from Japan, where the most famous top riggers are from. The past few years, Rope in Europe has become pretty famous, and there is a lot of interesting rope work happening. Individuals in Europe have developed there own approach to Rope Bondage, where European riggers are recognizing the importance of gaining their individuality in their artistic process, where they are finding and combining different techniques apart from the Original Japanese Shibari.

The European Rigger Exchange brings advanced riggers who have developed a personal style of Rope bondage beyond de Japanese tradition. These riggers want to learn from each other and enjoy experimenting.

The Eurix provides a platform for individuals to develop the technical, artistic and philosophical aspects of the practice. Events include western knowledge, techniques and skills, ideas from art, science, psychology, bodywork, performances, BDSM and Sex Positive Culture.

This event includes workshops, research groups, photography space, bondage Jams, and the Final Play Party. The content of the event covers the interests and needs of the participants rather than following a  pre-established method or itinerary.

The presenters are free to teach as much or as little as they want to teach. The event will be joined by a group of selected students with an intermediate or advanced level in bondage, the students should be riggers interested in learning from the professionals that will be paying a modest fee in order to finance the project.
