Mummification is an advanced form of bondage that involves extreme immobilization. This means that the submissive is wrapped or totally enclosed by the dominant, either partially or completely, with some type of material. While encased (cocooned), the bottom is completely immobilized. This means that it is completely vulnerable to the top. This can bring up feelings of helplessness and surrender. Many practitioners of this art also incorporate sensory deprivation, depending on the intention of the scene.
Hoods, blindfolds, pillow cases, ear plugs, ear buds, music, and gags are some of the many items that you can use for sensory deprivation. You can also use bondage tape, plastic wrap, duct tape, medical bandages, vet wrap, latex, leather, and fabric. It all depends on the sensation you want to achieve and whether you are doing zone-limited or full-body mummification. It can be an intense and high-risk activity. Therefore, it requires specific safety protocols, precautions, and equipment that we will explore in depth during this 7-hour intensive! Miss Cassie, the instructor for Mummification and Sensory Deprivation, has over 20 years of experience mummifying people in scarves, sheets, bondage tape, vet wrap, belts, and plastic wrap. Cling wrap suspension and hammock mummification are two of her favorite things!
Her professional career started in 2009, performing as a rope bottom and assisting with Shibari classes. By 2011, she had perfected her own, unique tying style and discovered her inner rope artist! Then, by 2012, she was ready to teach and started a monthly class at Sanctuary, followed by weekly classes at The Lair de Sade until their closing in 2020. She was Pro Domme at Sanctuary from 2011 to 2021, where she won the Ms. Sanctuary Leather 2019 award. Actually, she still sessions there as a Guest Mistress. She has 50 years experience tying rope, 40 years of BDSM lifestyle, 20 years of professional BDSM experience, and 15 years of experience in BDSM education.
