It Could Have Been Worse
It could have been worse; that’s what I want you to understand. Thank Heaven, I can tell you this story today. But if things had just gotten a little bit worse, you would hear about my case in a crime program. And if that scares you, good! Because that’s what I want. I want to scare the shit out of you, so you won’t make the same mistake I did.
It was a first date. And, yes, I know we’re in the 21st century, and we’re free to do whatever we want and all that, but good advice is timeless. And not going to a stranger’s apartment on the first date is still good advice.
One more thing, it doesn’t matter how hot he is! In my case, he was charming and fascinating. Tall, handsome, and strong, he had everything I drool for. He took me to a wonderful place, and we had the most exquisite dinner you can imagine. We also had a few drinks—maybe more than a few. So, when he told me that he wanted to have me, I agreed without thinking about it twice. And you should always think twice.
He asked me to let him tie me. Now, I had done Shibari scenes before, so I didn’t think that would be a problem. Besides, since we had both eaten and drunk, it was going to be something easy—just a couple of knots to have fun and make things more spicy.
Well, consider this: a few knots are all it takes to restrain a woman. Once he finished tying me, he began to grunt, and there was a weird smile on his face. Only then did I realize that I had allowed myself to be immobilized by a total stranger whom I didn’t know anything about.
He began doing things that I didn’t enjoy. I asked him to stop, but he wouldn’t listen to me. Desperate, I told him that my brother was a DA, and that he’d better let me go. It was all a lie, but he believed it, and he untied me.
Now, I want you to understand. I could have been raped, or worse. I was too naïve to trust someone I didn’t know. And it could have been worse. Shibari is great, but it’s not something you should do on a first date. Think about it.
This is my Shibari story.
