Lonely No More
Once you meet the man of your life, you want to be the only woman in his life. It is not possible, of course. We live in a society way more open to sexuality. Moreover, people marry at an older age. Therefore, it is almost impossible to be the only woman with whom the person you’re going to marry has shared intimacy. That’s why I understood that what I had to do with Lenny was to show him that he was lonely no more.
You see, Lenny is a difficult person. Not that he’s rude, violent, or anything like that. It’s just that he has… issues, quite a few. And most people don’t take the necessary time to know him. If they did, they would know as I know that Lenny is a tender, loyal, intelligent man.
Lenny got hurt a lot before meeting me. He was jilted too many times. He also had an awful share of only-once dates. Even though he seems to have overcome all that, I know that he still feels pain. And I wanted to liberate him from that.
So, I asked him to do Shibari with me. He agreed, although he must have been expecting something else. I tied him, and then I talked to him about how much he had suffered. I also assured him I knew how much loneliness he had endured. He felt bad and cried, and I almost doubted that I was doing any good to him. But then, I asked him to realize that he was lonely no more, that I was setting him free. I swore that I would never leave him or betray him. And I ask him to forget a bad experience with each rope I took away from him.
It was beautiful. And it really seemed to heal him. I hope we have more moments like this together.
This is my Shibari story.
