Shibari Can Release You
It was painful to see her suffering. We’ve all had a hard time with the pandemic, but, for Sophie, it was as if the world had closed in on her. She began having trouble sleeping. She got so nervous she felt she couldn’t breathe. It was horrible. I wanted to help her. So, I arranged online therapy for her. I tried to work her out so much that she would fall fast asleep. Nothing worked! Had I known that Shibari can release you, I would have helped her sooner.
Since we were locked up, we had more time than before to share in bed. We had discovered Shibari, and it seemed to be good for her. Those days, she would fall asleep like a baby. However, the next morning, her anxiety issues were back again.
One day, I read about subspace: this state of euphoria where bottoms feel so well that they think they can fly. And I thought that was exactly what Sophie needed. So that night I put my best effort in the emotional exchange of bondage. I wanted her to feel how much I loved her, how willing I was to protect her and care for her.
I guess it worked because, after an hour or so, I could see the relaxation in her face. She began to smile and there was a peculiar brightness in her eyes. Then she told me: “If you untie me, I will fly out through the window,” and I knew I had achieved what I wanted.
That night, she slept like a baby. We had accomplished that before. The really great thing was that it lasted for a week! She was calm, relaxed, happy. I couldn’t believe it.
So, yes, I would say Shibari can set you free from your inner demons. Shibari can release you.
This is my Shibari story.
