Subtle Shibari
I must have told this story two dozen times before, and that’s ok, it’s a good story. I never get tired of telling it. So, here it goes. Listen to me and learn how I discovered a more subtle Shibari.
It all began when I was studying for some really important exams at the hospital where I work. The management wanted all their doctors certified in some very complicated surgical techniques. Consequently, the whole staff was reading books and finding additional bibliography on the Internet.
Now, before I go on, I must say that I’ve practiced Shibari for several years now. I find it intense enough to make me forget the horrifying scenes I see as a doctor. And, when I play bottom, it also helps me to relax and forget all the blood, and despair, and death, that wander around a hospital.
My mind couldn’t be further from Shibari during those days. And yet, one night, when I was the only person still in the library, I found a book about rope games right above the table where I had been studying. The only person who could have possibly put it there was the librarian, a woman in her late thirties who was very attractive in a bizarre kind of way. I discarded the possibility of her putting the book on my table, but, just as I was leaving, she asked me if I had enjoyed my reading.
The same thing happened over the next few days. And she always gave me a clue that she was teasing me. One night, for example, she “forgot” a rope above the counter.
I focused on the exam, just as a professional doctor would do. But the moment I left the hospital, I ran to the library. In the back of my car, I had a sports bag with all the necessary equipment for a wonderful bondage night.
This is the story of my subtle Shibari.
