Peer Rope Adelaide Inc
Peer Rope Adelaide Inc is a community based social club focused on Japanese Shibari rope art. Peer Rope Adelaide is a non-profit association. 7 volunteers run the place, with a main focus on education. They teach primarily on Japanese Rope bondage. However, they also offer other styles of western rope in special workshops.
Peer Rope Adelaide Inc is a social club that provides a safe environment for all people interested in Japanese rope bondage, where both bottoms and riggers will find a safe place to learn, practice, teach and share experiences and knowledge with other rope practitioners. Peer Rope Adelaide goal is to share their knowledge and guide practitioners into every aspect of Shibari, starting from the basics, responsibility, ties and knots, as well as safety measures and consent, so they can later practise and play at home with adequate knowledge and the safety aspects required.
In Peer Rope Adelaide, all practitioners will obtain several levels of knowledge. To move forward to the next level, students must demonstrate knowledge and skill according to the curriculum. Likewise, they must show an awareness of safety. They have to demonstrate this before moving to the next level.
Peer Rope Adelaide promotes consent positive interactions in all the club activities, and also requires an open, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all its members. All classes, workshops and events are exclusively for adults (18+) and require a consent positive space. The community is free of discrimination, racism, homophobia, transphobia, body shaming, ableism or sexism. Peer Rope Adelaide believes all bodies are nice and everyone can practice Shibari.
Peer Rope Adelaide forbids unskilled practitioners to tie. If you are tired, injured, or under the influence of drugs, you cannot participate in a scene. Safety is the most important thing in Shibari.
