Bettie Mae Page was born in April 22nd in 1923 in Nashville, Tennesse. She died in December 11th ,2008 at the age of 85  in Los Angeles California. Bettie Page was an American model who gained notoriety in the 1950s for her pin-up photos. This is no surprise, since she was beautiful with her black hair and blue eyes. She was an iconic figure in pop culture. Moreover, she influenced sexuality. Therefore, she had a tremendous impact in society.

Bettie Page worked as an actress and posed for dozens of photographers throughout the 1950s. Then, in 1955, she was “Miss January 1955”. Therefore, she became one of the earliest Playmates of the Month for the Playboy Magazine. Before that, in 1951, Bettie Page, posed for the photographer Irving Klaw, for pin-up photographs of BDSM themes, making her the first famous bondage model. Her photos showed her on lingerie and high heels, acting out fetishistic scenarios of abduction, domination, slave-training and bondage. Paige alternated the role of the dominatrix and the helpless victim bounded in Han and foot.

Bettie Page gained the title of “Queen of bondage” in newspapers and magazines thanks to the bondage posing for Irving Klaw and his sister Paula Klaw. Bettie explains the reason why she did bondage. It was because every Saturday she had a four or five hour photoshoot session. And she needed to do an hour of bondage to receive her payment. Everything started with the mail order photographs that many clientes wanted. She remembered she had fun and laughing over the requested that came through the mail from judges, lawyers, and even doctors.  Irving and Paula Klaw created the iconic figure of Bettie Page, where they projected her  in photographies wearing innocent bikinis through Bondage and Fetishisim photography.

Bettie Page was also known for posing in every single erotic magazine on her date. She even posed nude for several years. She was an iconic sexual figure that would be remembered as the first model of Bondage.
