Kim Lee

Kim Lee is a recognized rope artist, self-suspender, rope bottom, rope top and teacher. She has been a dome for over a decade and a rigger for the last four years. Her rope journey began after she joined the Austin Kink Community, where her interest in rope began. Kim Lee views rope as the perfect way of expressing her emotions without having to fully understand what they are.

Her journey in rope has been both incredible and painful, but always as a process of self-discovery. She has learned from many rope artist and she has taught many others. Most people know her by her amazing performances of self-suspension at parties. They also know her for the self-tie photos she posts online. She also loves self-tying, artistic rope, connective rope, and all other different styles of rope. Kim Lee’s love and passion for rope will make her do anything with rope, there is not much that she won’t do with rope.

Kim Lee is on the Steering Committee for the North American Rope Innovation eXchange (NARIX). She frequently teaches a variety of rope classes locally and through Austin Rope Slingers.

Kim Lee has different workshops, like Domming from the Bottom, where power exchange is a complicated thing and she teaches some tricks to keep your control during this type of scene. Another one is Bratting: The Art of Escalation (“brat” is a dirty word in rope play). This class is to learn how to fully embrace the chemistry of playful negotiation, as well as tips of keeping your bottom in check and strategies for bottoms to ask for things during the scene. One of her most famous workshops is Escape Rope, this workshop is definitely NOT Shibari, but it refers to a specific type of play where the bottom struggles to free themselves from their bondage.
