Zetsu

Zetsu begins his rope journey in 2006 when he took his first trip to Tokyo. There, he took lessons on Kinbaku, the Japanese art of erotic rope bondage, with Osada Steve. After Zetsu took these lessons, he began to pursue the study of Japanese rope Bondage.

Zetsu studied in Los Angeles and his frequent trips to Japan, lead him to the school of Kinbaku Grandmaster Yukimura Haruki in 2010. He became a member of Yukimusa sensei’s ryuu, where he got the name of Haru Yutaka in 2013, and awarded a menkyo or teaching certificate allowing him to teach Yukimura’s unique style of erotic rope. Only 15 people in the world have received this award, and only 2 of North America.

Zetsu also had the honour of working and studying rope bondage with famed kinbaku photographer Sugiura Norio, fueling his passion for kinbaku photography as well. His passion for teaching and rope has led him to create a series of classes that provide a fun and authentic approach to Japanese rope bondage.

His focus on technique and erotic play, with his teaching style, speaks to the heart and spirit of Japanese rope, with an emphasis on safety and mutual gratification and enjoyment for the ones involved in the scene. Every time he visited Tokyo, he felt his appreciation for the art of Kinbaku growing deeper, more complex and more nuanced.

Zetsu has his dojo in Los Angeles, where he teaches and shares his knowledge, the LA Rope Dojo. He also edits the online famous bondage magazine Kinbaku Today and runs Ai Nada, which is an online shop where he imports books, videos, rope, and kinbaku accessories from Japan.

Zetsu, has also participated in several photoshoots, videos, performances and has given plenty of workshops, always sharing his knowledge and passion for ropes.
