Stay on the Ground

Stay on the Ground

I can’t stay on the ground. Period. Since I was a kid, I thought that the world was a wonderful place, except for the fact that we, humans, had to stay stuck to the ground. For me, the force of gravity is the greatest villain in history.

By the way, my name is Emily. As you may have guessed, I’m a pilot. All I’ve ever wanted to do is fly. That’s why when I got a job as an airline pilot eight years ago, it was a dream come true. Honestly, I live my dream every day, and I wake up with a smile.

There’s only one problem in my perfect life. Eventually, I have to come back to the ground, just like everybody else. You know, it’s like when you were a kid and you jumped from the staircase. In the end, you always hit the ground. And that kills me.

My boyfriend is also a pilot. He had to be; I had already discarded any other possibility by the time I was eleven. He told me that there was a way I could remain ground-free, even when I wasn’t flying.

Later I knew he was talking about suspension. We’re both young and kinky, so I have no problem trying a different practice. (I’ve already done cosplay and latex.) He said it was risky, so he attended a couple of workshops before feeling confident enough to play rigger with me.

It was amazing! We did it outdoors, so I could feel the wind hitting my face. It was exactly what I wanted. You see, it doesn’t matter if it’s three feet or thirty-thousand feet above the ground, I have to be in the air!

So, whenever I’m not working on a plane, we can always run to the studio or prepare an outdoor suspension, and that’s it. My perfect life becomes even more perfect.

This is my Shibari story.
