Lyon Shibari
Lyon Shibari is an association. Founded in 2014, it aims to practice, promote and popularize the art of the rope. Lyon Shibari offers various activities that will allow you to discover shibari and practice safely among other enthusiasts.
The Lyon Shibari association focuses on the traditional Japanese’s art of tying. This means the tying must be aesthetic and refined. This association credo is to allow each member to discover and explore their nawado, which comes from the Japanese word nawa, which means string, and do, that means awakening path, where respect, sharing, friendliness, courtesy and benevolence are the human values that will accompany each member in this practice of the rope.
Lyon Shibari is run and managed by volunteers. They promote the practice of Shibari and allow the community to meet and share space, equipment, skills, and experiences. Members can bring new ideas, and projects.
Lyon Shibari has different events and workshops, starting with the Mondays, weekly lessons for all levels, Tuesday once a month meeting, Wednesdays weekly lessons for beginners, Thursdays free training, The monthly Jam for everyone, the 5 weekends workshop for all levels, and the friendly meetings.
The practice of the rope is a path that leads to fulfilment, where the roads leading to this development are therefore specific to each person, where the association is open to different styles of Shibari so everyone can study, seek, find and advance according to their own nawado. In addition, it welcomes everyone, without judgment. Actually, all types of discriminations are unacceptable.
If you would like to join the association, you must pay a membership fee. The membership includes insurance, access to training, jams, and activities reserved exclusively for association members, without any charge. Courses and Workshops for members only require a contribution to the cost.
