Trick or Treat
I said it without thinking: “Trick or treat.” We had been working really hard on the Philly project for three days in a row, and we had just finished. We were too tired to celebrate. Actually, we just stood there, each one at their desk, doing nothing, saying nothing, just staring at nowhere and enjoying the silence after days and days of buzzing this and that. We could have gone home, taken a shower, had a well-deserved comfort dinner, and some beers, but we were exhausted.
“Trick or treat,” I said again. Then I explained to my team – that is, my three loyal employees – what I was thinking about. I wanted to reward them for their hard effort. They could choose between a nice present and a secret gift. Bruce and Marty chose the nice present, just as I expected. Nick, however, opted for the secret gift.
Weeks passed, and I didn’t mention the gift again. Finally, Nick asked whether he would be getting something. That’s when I knew he was ready. I asked him to come to the office that Saturday, without asking questions.
He came right on time, just as I expected from such a responsible employee. We jumped into my car, and I drove him to a Shibari workshop. I guess here is where I must say that I’ve loved bondage since a long-lost boyfriend showed it to me when I was 19. Nick, on the other hand, had never played with ropes. That really excited me.
I told him he would be playing top. He was quite nervous, and he got more nervous when I took off some clothes to do the scene more comfortably. But I guided him in every step. By the time we finished, I knew he would be a great rigger someday. Taking his “rope virginity” was such a turn-on that I could barely control myself on the way back to the office. And I won’t tell you what happened there.
This is my Shibari story.
