Netflix and Bondage
We’ve all seen the meme in one version or another. And nobody needs an explanation of what is going to happen once it has become clear that there’s no movie to watch. However, thinking of combining “Netflix” and Bondage might come to a surprise, a nice kind of surprise.
So, for your next Netflix-No Netflix rendezvous, why don’t you surprise your partner with some ropes? This can be way more interesting than just jumping into what has become not only a routine —boring like all routines— but also a cliché.
Of course, if you don’t want to spoil the surprise, you’ll have to prepare some things in advance. Make sure you have all the materials you need and get those you’re lacking.
As for consent, you should take two steps. First, casually introduce the topic of Bondage in a conversation with your partner. This will let you know just how opened they are to the idea of getting tied up. If they seem excited with the idea, then you’ve gotten a sort of previous consent. However, once you present the ropes to your partner, you must ask again for consent, and specify all the details of the scene. Remember, you cannot tie someone who is not willing to do a scene. You must give your partner the option to say “no”, and respect their negative if that’s the case.
This might be frustrating, but don’t forget that the dynamic between partners must always be “SSC”, which means “Safe, Sane, and Consensual”.
If your partner is unfamiliar with bondage, you may want to try something relatively quick and simple. As for just how sexual the scene should be, that depends on the character of your relationship.
As you can see, the combination of Netflix and bondage goes way beyond the “I lied…” meme attitude. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon.
And you can actually watch a movie during aftercare.
